European projects
Innovation in Europe
In a European context, we collaborate on innovation: SMEs, large companies, research institutions, and public authorities can participate in European projects and benefit from European funding.
We actively screen open calls and encourage Flemish companies to get involved.
Why participate?
- Access to co-funding for groundbreaking innovations
- Networking with European partners
- Anchoring knowledge at the European level
For whom?
SMEs, large companies, research institutes and public organisations.
How to participate?
A European project starts with an idea that fits within a European open call, for example under Horizon Europe or Eureka.
As a Project Partner
You can participate as a project partner by joining a European consortium of organizations that intend to submit a project proposal under an open call.
Online, you can find platforms that connect supply and demand, such as:
- Database for European open calls and project partners
- European Commission database for open calls
- European Commission database for project partners
As a Project Coordinator
You can also participate as a project coordinator by completing the official application template for an open call and forming a consortium of project partners.
For most companies, this is the most challenging route — unless they already have substantial experience and an extensive European network.
What does Flanders Make do for me?
