CCMA

In CCAM Proving Region, Flemish and Dutch partners are working together to develop a cross-border test zone for Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM).

About CCAM Proving region

In the Interreg VI Flanders-Netherlands project CCAM Proving Region, Flemish and Dutch partners are working together to develop a cross-border test zone for Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM).

New mobility applications – such as vehicles that communicate with each other, automated transport and smart traffic infrastructure – require realistic test environments in which technology, infrastructure and regulations come together.

CCAM Proving Region offers that environment, with test facilities in Flanders and the southern Netherlands, where innovative mobility solutions can be tested and validated – from virtual simulations to practical road tests.

Project goals

The project supports companies, knowledge institutions and governments in developing, testing and demonstrating CCAM applications.
The main objectives are:

  • The development of a cross-border test zone with shared infrastructure, knowledge and expertise.
  • The validation of innovative CCAM technologies in realistic and cross-border scenarios.
  • To stimulate cooperation between industry, research and policymakers on smart and automated mobility.
  • To accelerate the upscaling and valorisation of CCAM solutions in the region.

Role of Flanders Make

Flanders Make provides testing infrastructure and expertise for conducting CCAM tests, with a focus on vehicle technology, connectivity and automation.

In doing so, Flanders Make supports companies and knowledge institutions in the development and validation of new mobility solutions within the CCAM Proving Region.

Organisations can have their CCAM solutions tested within the project framework.
