Exploring possibilities for augmented reality with Bewel
Challenge
Simplifying complex tasks
Bewel, a Limburg-based social enterprise with nearly 2,000 employees with physical or mental disabilities, wants to simplify more complex tasks. As part of the SESAM project, Bewel is working with Flanders Make, Azumuta and Logflow to investigate how augmented reality can help simplify logistics processes.
Technologies
Augmented reality opens up new possibilities
Employees sort and check incoming components for switch boxes. Augmented reality recognises parts and simplifies the administrative process. This gives more employees the opportunity to work independently and without errors.
Employee 5.0 Systems
Boosting well-being & productivity.
Result
From test phase to widespread application
The first workability tests in early 2024 yielded positive responses and reinforced the employees' sense of pride. Other social enterprises showed interest in adopting the technology in part or in full, paving the way for sector-wide digitisation.
