High-throughput laser processing
High-throughput laser processing: Toolbox for tailored machine & process design
Challenge
Laser micromachining is a key enabling technology for advanced manufacturing, but current solutions are too slow to be used at industrial scale. Further, there is a lack of know-how of industrial adoption such as the complex choices in scanning systems, beam shaping and process parameters, often with limited independent guidance. As a result, process development is slow, costly and risky, delaying innovation and industrial deployment.
Project goal
Via this project (HiLASE_IRVA), we help companies design and scale laser micromachining processes faster and with more confidence. By combining expert knowledge, validated data and predictive tools, the project delivers practical support for selecting scanning strategies, beam-shaping solutions and optimal process parameters.
The project aims to reduce the process cycle time by at least 50% and an effort reduction of parameter tuning by at least a factor 5.
Participating companies gain direct access to cutting-edge expertise, reduce development time and risks, and strengthen their competitive position in high-precision laser manufacturing.
