Testing electr(on)ic components

(Infrastructure)
Koen VDB

The number of electrical and electronic components in machines and vehicles is increasing year after year. All these components are exposed to thermal and mechanical stresses. To ensure reliable operation, it is important to test these components simultaneously, as certain failures only occur under specific thermal or mechanical conditions. That’s why we offer comprehensive test laboratories for testing electrical and electronic components:

ENVIVA lab

Our EnViVa (Environmental & Vibration Validation) test lab is equipped with an electrodynamic shaker table, combined with a climatic chamber and a solar simulation system. This setup enables:

  • Combined testing with simulated environmental and vibration loads
  • Mechanical and thermal durability testing
  • Vibration analysis to determine the resonance behaviour of test specimens

FMEC lab

The FMEC lab focuses on pre-compliance EMC, RED, shielding effectiveness, and reliability testing of electronic products.
Info & technical specifications:

  • Pre-compliance EMC testing for the most common standards, including tests for radiated emission and immunity up to 6 GHz
  • RED (Radio Equipment Directive): advice and testing to ensure your product complies with radio equipment regulations
  • EM Shielding: measurement of attenuation of flat materials, gaskets, cables, etc. up to 14 GHz (higher frequencies available on request)
  • HALT testing (Highly Accelerated Lifetime Testing): a proven method to make your products more robust

Smart Maintenance Lab

Through our Smart Maintenance Lab, we offer testing and validation services for condition monitoring of bearing systems. We develop customised monitoring solutions that combine advanced sensing technologies with intelligent algorithms for fault detection and prediction.
