XR4Health: technology as a lever for healthcare
The healthcare sector is under considerable pressure: there is a serious staff shortage and the workability of healthcare jobs is a growing challenge. By 2030, an estimated 54,000 additional healthcare workers will be needed.
Technology can play an important role by relieving the burden on healthcare staff, training them more efficiently and enabling evidence-based continuing education. In practice, however, healthcare institutions and training centres often still lack sufficient insight into the possibilities, while technology partners experience barriers to deploying their innovations within the healthcare sector.
With XR4Health, we want to bridge the gap between healthcare and technology, thereby stimulating new collaborations and synergies.
Project goal
XR4Health is developing a training platform with relevant continuing education and training courses for healthcare providers, using Extended Reality (XR).
This platform offers practical solutions in the field and promotes collaboration between healthcare and technology, with the aim of improving the quality of care and the workability of healthcare professions.
