Dynamic work instructions for Unilin
Challenge
Digital work instructions speed up problem solving
Unilin used troubleshooting procedures to help operators with machine operation and fault resolution, but these were often too limited and time-consuming, especially for less experienced employees. Together with Flanders Make, they developed a digital, dynamic approach that provides immediate support to operators and engineers.
Technologies
Interactive and automated process
The new instructions are completed digitally, after which a report is automatically generated. Data is retrieved directly from the machines, and the instructions follow a logical sequence: first the most likely causes and solutions, then the less common ones.

Result
Faster insight, uniform reports
Using a simple Excel template and a Digital Work Instruction Converter, Unilin can draw up dynamic instructions itself. This results in uniform reports and increases insight into machine and process errors, leading to faster problem solving and less production downtime.
