Revolutionizing the workplace: innovative tech solutions for socially engaging work
The topic of the second Tech@Lunch session of 2023 is "Revolutionizing the workplace: innovative tech solutions for socially engaging work". Recent research shows that work has to be done by less people, and that on average people get older. The current age-peak is on 57 years, where there is a higher outflow than influx of people. This means a shrinking active population. Workable work is hence becoming more important.
Workable work means work that remains fascinating and motivating, that leaves room for a healthy work-life balance, that takes physical and mental fitness into account and that offers enough opportunity for personal development.
Technology can help on various levels. It can have impact on the cognitive side by providing the right information on the right moment. It can also have impact on the physical wellbeing by offering mechanical support systems. Thirdly, it can also be applied to enhance the task-allocation and hence the wellbeing and the retaining of competences. In this webcast we will dive deeper into what Workable Work exactly means, its sociological context and the technical solutions which can make work more workable.
