The topic of the last session in this special series of 5 webinars on energy cost reduction is "Optimal setting of your drive(s)". During this session we will look in more detail at how the energy consumption in electrical machines can be optimized, especially in machines that run continuously and at the same speed and of which the so-called steady state can be optimized. We mainly look at the drivers that control the motor. We have examined all parameters within the electronics and their influence on the energy consumption of the motor. Three parameters emerged from that study that have a major influence on the motor, and which can therefore have a significant effect on the process through optimal settings.
