Webinar - The Importance of Standardisation for Manufacturing Connectivity

The production of complex products in smaller series puts the productivity of manufacturing companies under pressure. Yet you can also arm your production for this. For example, by using digital technologies and connecting your production. By standardising production connectivity, you can significantly reduce the effort required for this.

In this webinar, we give you insights in the different standards (OPC UA, MQTT, ...) that are available for connecting your production machines, for extracting data and for starting smart applications. All this is based on practical cases.

Programme

  • Introduction to Connected Manufacturing
  • Challenges and the importance of standardisation
  • Overview of communication standards for production connectivity (OPC UA, MQTT, …)
  • Standard data models for production (Umati)
  • Demonstrator SmartFactory
  • Experiences with PackML-standard from SmartFactory

Connected manufacturing

The webinar is organised by Sirris and Flanders Make as part of the COOCK project Connected Manufacturing (HBC.2020.2544). The aim of this project is to make the technological potential of connecting machines and business applications tangible for companies and to let them see how this can be used to increase transparency and productivity.

Registration

This webinar is free, to participate you only need to register via the Sirris website.
