A lot of potential, but still underused
Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality technology is constantly improving and can be an interesting tool in everyday life. For example, with a simple app, you can easily decorate your living room virtually. But also companies and employees can benefit from these new vision systems to facilitate processes and jobs. Moreover, it is interesting for many different sectors. The building sector could speed up decisions in the design process and identify potential problems earlier. Technical services can be helped hands-free through augmented reality glasses where an expert remotely projects notes into a technician's field of vision. Or lab technicians and order pickers can use smart glasses to quickly see information so they don't have to look away to read something from a scanner or paper list, etc.
Free online workshop*
The potential of the technology is still underused. UHasselt-EDM, Flanders Make, WTCB, Sirris, Howest, Flanders' FOOD and BioVille therefore organise a free online workshop on Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality. By means of practical demos, from various sectors and angles, you will quickly gain insight into the added value of the technology and learn about the possibilities for your company.
Furthermore, we present a company testimonial: DB&S Machines from Roeselare will explain how they recently started using a HoloLens to support technicians in maintaining their machines, with the support of Flanders Make.
