Tech@Lunch: Process automation applied to agricultural baling operations

Flanders Make serves tech at lunch

Tech@Lunch: with this new online formula, we frequently offer an inspiring online session during lunch. During these sessions, one of our specialists will elaborate on a hot topic in half an hour. This way, you get a maximum of inspiration in a minimum of time!

During our fifth session on Monday 26 September, Bruno Depraetere will take the floor. The topic of his talk is "Process automation applied to agricultural baling operations". In this talk we will showcase the process of automating a baler driving over a field. With the added automation, the operator no longer performs all baling tasks manually, but instead enters preferences regarding for example bale quality. The new systems then automatically navigate and drive over the field, while also choosing the appropriate process settings. Overall, this leads to a reduced stress on operators, allows novice drivers to get good performance, and allows better bales to be made at a higher productivity level.
