Sharing Strategies for European Research and Innovation Infrastructures (INNO INFRA SHARE)

INNO INFRA SHARE (Sharing Strategies for European Research and Innovation Infrastructures) is an Interreg Europe funded programme to improve the accessibility and utilisation of local Research and Innovation Infrastructure (RII) by SMEs.

Our goal is to improve access to RII and increase the cooperation between SMEs and research organisations in view of boosting their innovation performance, such by creating:

  • A precise and detailed overview of local RII ecosystems, available to regional and national policymakers and SMEs;
  • A comprehensive action plan for improving regional and national RII policies.

Research and Innovation Infrastructure (RII) has the potential to act as enabler of competitiveness and growth for both local SMEs and foreign users – particularly in the areas of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs). To unleash this potential, the project partners will jointly work towards adding a market-driven dimension to research and technology, by networking and promoting cooperation opportunities on a regional and international level and by addressing RII-relevant national and regional policy instruments.

The partnership covers 8 European regions: Belgium (Flanders Make), Czech Republic (Brno University of Technology), Estonia (Tartu City Government), Germany (Chemnitz University of Technology), Italy (Aster Stock Joint Consortium), Latvia (Vidzeme Planning Region), the Netherlands (Brainport Development) and Sweden (Region Skane). The partners will undertake a joint learning and cooperation process involving both regional and national stakeholders. In this way, they will contribute – within their respective territories – to the design and implementation of an action plan to improve the policy instruments that affect RII and its accessibility to the industry.

Aster Stock Joint Consortium (Italy) is the lead partner for this project.

Within the scope of the INNO INFRA SHARE project, the following activities will take place

  • RII environment mapping and analysis in each region, based on a joint methodology
  • Identification of RII Good Practices in the partner regions
  • Regional stakeholder meetings
  • Interregional learning workshops, peer reviews, local learning workshops
  • Study visits
  • Development of regional action plans and monitoring of action plan implementation
  • Dissemination of project results

Investment: 1.632.694 euro from Interreg Europe/European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
