Industrial valorisation of non-native robot programming methods

Challenge

The Flemish manufacturing industry is confronted with a number of challenges:

  • Reshoring of manufacturing to Flanders;
  • Coping with an ageing and scarcer workforce;
  • Coping with a faster evolution in products to be manufactured,;
  • Further increasing productivity to boost competitiveness, and;
  • Decreasing waste, improving sustainability and reducing cost.

Advanced robot programming methods can play an important role in the next-gen agile manufacturing plants, addressing these challenges.

Project goals

The main goal of the VALPROG project is to bring these results to a higher level of practical application by a combination of research and application projects, combined in an IRVA formula
