Amulet Open call - Get up to 120,000€ funding for the development of lightweight materials

Through this open call, we are looking for SMEs developing lightweight materials for the automotive, aerospace, energy and construction sectors. Within Amulet, a Horizon 2020 project, we are working on new industrial value chains with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions on the one hand and making the use of raw materials more efficient on the other.

For whom?

This open call targets SMEs operating one of the following sectors:

  • Constructions
  • Aerospace and aeronautics
  • Energy
  • Automotive

We focus on the following materials here:

  • Polymer-based composites
  • Ceramic matrix composites
  • Light metal alloys

Your proposed solution should involve the development and implementation of demonstration activities around technology and systems applicable to exactly one of these challenges.

How does it work?

The entire process exists of four steps: 

  1. The application phase: Through online matchmaking events, you will form a consortium with 1 or 2 other SMEs. Up to 36 consortia will be invited to pitch their solution at the online jury day.
  2. The feasibility study: From these 36 consortia, 26 will be chosen. These companies will receive 23,000€ funding to carry out a feasibility study for 4 months. 
  3. The demonstration phase: From these 26 consortia, up to 7 consortia will be chosen and will receive 80,000€ funding to work out a demo of their solution for 9 months.
  4. The follow-up phase: These 7 consortia will then receive a final €17,000 in funding to provide follow-up support for their innovation for 2 months.
