Functional Safety training

Customers expect products to be safe. That’s why there are a number of regulations that companies must follow in order to put a product on the market. But what if the system fails? How do you make sure safety is ensured?

Functional safety engineering provides:

  • a structured way to manage risks along the product lifecycle
  • a lowered probability of being harmful to users
  • increasing sustainability
  • limited risks for the environment.

The concept of ‘safety’ takes a central position in the design, production, operation, maintenance and end-of-life phases of a product. Functional safety tries to answer ‘what if’ questions by providing guidance for risk management and the design of safety mechanisms to maintain the system in a safe state, despite the failure of its components.
