Ssshhht... machines speak, you just have to listen!

So we are hosting an event where we will show you how to listen to your machines. Whether your machine is obsolete or high-tech, there is always useful data to collect. Piece counts, stroke times, downtimes and much more data can be automatically and correctly extracted from your machine in a simple way. Even monitoring a manual workstation or manual operation is possible.

Many of our industrial partners run into the same challenges. The status of most sensors or transducers (e.g. level measurement) of their machines are not available to easily connect to an overall system. Machines with pressure gauges or mechanical piece counters are often manually read and noted by an employee. Therefore, the result is often no, little or inaccurate data.

The purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate, using a number of technical solutions and use cases, that it is possible to capture data from existing machines and have them communicate with a standardized and structured storage system. And this for both obsolete and modern machines, as well as for work cells with operators. Simple and cost-effective solutions are also available for the storage systems, so that every company can get started with them.

With this, we hope to inspire companies to also take steps for their Industrie 4.0 story in their workshops. Using a number of live demos, we will show how we can cost-effectively and scalably integrate solutions into all kinds of machines or workplaces. This can be done step by step, machine by machine, so that each company can also gradually invest in new technologies.

We bring the story high-level, technical knowledge is certainly not necessary. We also provide time to discuss your specific cases with our people, both high-level and very technical. So if you have questions that have been maturing for a long time or if you see demos that appeal and inspire you, we will be happy to discuss them in depth. This way, you will also return to your company afterwards with a set of fresh ideas to listen to your machines there as well.

For details of the pre-sensation, please refer to the program below.

Target group

We address all (SME) production companies from all sectors that are considering the purchase of production support software and want to gain insight into its possibilities and choose a suitable solution based on the right criteria.

Job profiles: C-level managers, directors, production managers, operations managers and IT managers.

Programme

Time Speaker Topic
9:00 - 9:30   Welcome/Coffee
9:30 – 9:45 Jan Vandael (Flanders Make) Welcome + MES4SME intro

Introduction workshop session

9:45 – 10:15 Valentijn De Leeuw (Flanders Make) General overview IIOT data captation and processing
10:15 – 11:15 Steven Moens (Waylay/Yokogawa)

Quickly and easily discover the advantages of using IIoT sensors in your production facility by means of plug & play IIoT sensor kits

By using these plug & play IIoT sensor kits, the added value of IIoT can be quickly and carefree demonstrated in terms of, for example, preventive maintenance, visualisation of hitherto unknown measurements, saving on operator tours, etc. The plug & play IIoT sensor kits allow for easy initial installation and are, through the use of a cloud platform and maximum standardisation in the kits, very easy to scale up and roll out on a large scale, for example over an entire production facility. In addition, the sensors and their associated cloud platform are very easy to maintain and can work independently of existing automation and visualisation systems. However, if desired, an integration with these systems and/or MES,ERP and other systems is perfectly possible thanks to the extensive connectivity possibilities.

11:15 – 12:15 Tom Serru (Ikologik)

Industry 4.0 for your exisiting and new machinery

Implementing both sensor and modern PLC data on an Industry 4.0 data logging platform, difficult and expensive? During this hands-on explanation Ikologik will bring you some examples on how to approach this step by step and make your machine park ready for the future.

12:15 – 13:00   Sandwich lunch
13:00 – 14:00 Kristof Wittouck (One Two) Ssshhht… the machine talks! Capture the data that man and machine have been carrying in your business for years. Simple and smart, fast and smooth. Keep up with Industry 4.0 without major investments.

If a system existed to capture data quickly, cheaply and smartly on the shop floor, you would want to use it, wouldn't you? In this keynote presentation, OneTwo explains how you can extract information from your machine park and your employees with easily accessible tools. Start and stop times, production time, material consumption ... without any major investments or retraining, you can step into the smart applications of the future. The data are there, you only need to read them out.

14:00 – 15:00 Dries Boone (IBA)

Scalable and simple solution for IIoT and Industry 4.0

Monitoring of increasingly complex machines and processes requires versatile and fast solutions for machine data collection and processing. Various sensors, PLCs, drives, communication interfaces, cameras and HMIs can be monitored synchronously. This enables efficient troubleshooting and maintenance strategies. IBA's software and hardware is unmatched in its ability to connect and analyze almost anything. A proven system to rely on in the age of Industry 4.0.

15:00 – 16:00 Jan Vandael Wrap-up & Networking reception
