Revolutionary warehouse management thanks to real-time data analytics
Logflow is a company specialised in consulting around automated warehousing and has a strong focus on manufacturing companies. Since 2000, Logflow has played an important role in implementing logistics solutions, such as the first reactive high-bay warehouses in Belgium. The company acts as an advisor to suppliers looking to automate their supply chain.
One of the main challenges for Logflow is providing real-time advice to customers. Currently, they develop master plans based on static analyses of data, meaning that the process has to be gone through again each time a customer wants a revision of the plan.
The ambition is to create a Logflow computing centre capable of performing these static logistics analyses dynamically, so that customers can get advice at any time and be followed up remotely.

‘With instant updates, we obtained a highly accurate logistics chain.’

What did Flanders Make do for Logflow?
To realise this Logflow computing centre, Logflow went through a feasibility study together with Flanders Make. In this project, the basis for the development of the Logflow Oracle Centre (LOC) originated. Through workshops, we mapped the system requirements, resulting in a set of technical frameworks. We then tested the feasibility using a small-scale pilot project for one customer, analysing logistics data and performing automated analyses.
As a result of the project, Logflow learned that data is indeed automatically analysable. While this is only the foundation for their LOC, they have gained many valuable insights and now know how to perform similar analyses for multiple customers. They can build on these results to develop a proof of concept for their LOC.
