“The Future of the Manufacturing Industry” – The Flanders Make symposium 2017

During this inspiring day, we discuss the trends that define the future of the manufacturing industry. We illustrate our research results and show concrete cases of companies with whom we collaborate.

Exciting speakers as Jost Bernasch (VIRTUAL VEHICLE), Geert Ostyn (PICANOL GROUP), Goedele Heylen (NIKO) and Prof. Wim Vanhaverbeke (UHASSELT) examine topics such as smart products and production methods, competitivity in a globalised world and innovation in a Flemish context. Philippe Muyters, Minister of Innovation, concludes the day.

In addition, we introduce you to our mobile laboratory for flexible and human-centered production. With this mobile, fully connected research infrastructure, we bring technology to companies, work on co-creation with the most advanced production methods and accustom operators with new production processes in order to prepare them for the future. Unique in Belgium and at the service of the industry!

Our annual symposium isn't only keeping abreast of the manufacturing industry but also provides a network platform for its protagonists, industrial heavy-weights and SME's alike.
